Adaptive Playback

How to apply eValid to functional testing of web applications.

Adaptive Playback

Postby swtesting » Sun Jul 06, 2008 10:16 am

I have recorded this script and it successfully carries out the
tasks I require. However, each time I run the script
the warning messages created cause the script to fail.

Is there any way I get tell the system to pass the script if
there are no command resulting in errors. Or is there some way I
get can it to ignore specific Warning messages.

I have looked at supporting docs and not found the answer to this.

Thanks.

Thanks for writing...

(1) The MESSAGEs are from Adaptive Playback doing the right thing,
or from eValid warning you there was a JavaScript error.

eValid is more sensitive than most browser -- correctly so, because
it is after all a QA engine, right?

(2) MESSAGES produce a yellow screen and usually are not considered
fatal...

You could turn off the EventLog creation and/or base the PASS/FAIL
on a different log, e.g. the Message log where you have control
over what shows up there...

* eValid has the capability to create a custom subset of the regular
event log data, called a "custom log", by filtering the data with
a user-selected set of options or keywords/strings:
