Have you ever tested some of GWT's more exotic features?

How to apply eValid to functional testing of web applications.

Have you ever tested some of GWT's more exotic features, like a "dislosure panel?"

Yes we have and we have to say that GWT is a very powerful GUI interface for JavaScript rich internet applications.

Sometimes, however, GTW's power and sophtication gets in the way of "testability," and a disclosure panel is one of those cases. In this case, the page is only testable using eValid's DOM manipulation commands.

You need to find exactly the right element on which to synchronize playback as multiple panels are created and then populated dynamically. A simple synchronization on a text item usually doesn't work because multiple discolsure areas all have the same visual description.

What we do is look for a specific text AND a specific secondary feature, maybe an element ID tag. Then a sync done on a specific object property works perfectly.

Once an area is synced then the second stage is to sync on something in the content, and on this we've been successful too.

Bottom line: you can do it! With some doing.
