Hi,

I wanted to get your advice on attempting to validate something on the screen as captured below.

It's Flash based and was developed in Flex. I'm reffering to the area that is 'cappucino' colored.

As you may know, eValid normally sees FLASH and Flex objects as opaque
images, without any inner structure.

Here is the description of the eValid Validate and Synchronize on Screen
Rectangle command:

http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documentation.9/Testing/validate.rect.html

Two additional things you might want to be aware of are:

(1) If the synchronization fails it is often easier to change the
checksum as recorded into the script to the one that shows in the EventLog.

(Sometimes the checksum computation is perturbed at record time by
the border of the rubber-band area.)

(2) There is a "helper option" in eValid so display a narrow outline
around the area where, during synchronization, the checksum values
are taken. In some cases this blinking border interfers with
collection of the correct checksum, and if this happens to you simply
turn that option off.

The option is in the Avanced Record/Play Prefs > Synchronization page,
and it's called "Draw Visible Outline".
