Can eValid work on a browser that already on screen

How to apply eValid to functional testing of web applications.

Can eValid work on a browser that already on screen

Postby RBabiyl » Tue Jun 14, 2016 8:12 am

Morning.

I'd like to know if the following scenario is possible:

Can eValid be made to operate with a browser that is already on the screen when my test starts?

Thanks

Thanks for posting your question RBabiyl.

Yes, it can, but not in "browser mode."

When a sub-browser is launched by eValid, for example, when you open a page in a new window, eValid sees that as a new sub-window, chances the value of "wid", and continues.

But if the browser is already on the screen, it can test it only as if it is testing an existing Windows application.

eValid calls this Application mode, as described here:

You may also want to use synchronizations on screen window capabilities, described here:

http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... .rect.html
