How to apply eValid to functional testing of web applications.

Testing question on DOM propery names and values

Postby PStader » Thu Sep 01, 2016 1:21 pm

Hey eValid!

I'm tying to do a structural test of various search engines, and I'm wondering if you can help by identifying the appropriate DOM property names and values?

Thanks

Thanks for posting PStader.

Yes, dealing with each search engine's "here, search for this" page can be troublesome.

Here is a page we developed that gives you the names of some of the DOM pieces that you need:

http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... eters.html

Mind you, we have not checked these values for some time, so what you actually see on each search engine will [likely] have changed.

It's best to use the PageMap to verify the field/property names on the actual search engine you're testing.

Please contact us if you get in trouble.
