Does eValid let new testers make tests from scratch easy

Afternoon.

The playback features of a self-created script for eValid are super nice, but we need also to be able to have new testers create tests from scratch, so we don't have to write them.

Can eValid help?

Thanks for asking DJewll.

From a technical point of view, creating a test by recording it from life is actually a little more tricky than it seems, due to subtleties in how the user interacts with a website.

But we are quite proud of the eValid test recording capability.

Here is an outline of some what is going on, in very quick-review form:

Everyone knows that you can't expect the recorder to do "everything" so the real measure of the quality of a recorder is the percentage of a final script that you can create "on the fly" just by recording user actions.

We think you can get 99% of the scripts done this way -- variations in the application details can of course lower this.

All in all, an eValid test recording is an excellent place to begin your script creation process.
