How to apply eValid to functional testing of web applications.

Checking Links

Postby oldnv » Fri Sep 10, 2010 2:04 pm

I have the following scenario and I am not sure if that can be automated.

1. On a page a have a bunch of links and I have to check if are working properly.

2. when i click on one link a new page is opened into a new browser.

The qestion is how can I close the second browser and return to the main one to continue checking the other links?

Yes, it can be.

But this is going to be a functional test run rather than a site analysis run.

Record going to the first page, and they do a Dynamic Link Check on that page. When that is done, click on the link that goes to a new page -- the popup page -- andrun a Dynamic Link Check on that page. Then close that page and continue recording on the first page and then end the recording.

That should do the link checking on both pages.
