Why do you recommend to use the "special recording modes" sparingly? Don't they work? What gives?

The "special recording modes" are available in eValid to handle a range of special web application situations. They give eValid a 100% completeness score in terms of being able to record anything and, more importantly, able to play back any conceivable test of a web browser enabled appliction.

However, eValid works BEST when it is "natural" mode, so that all of the internal checks and synchronizations and recover features can be in play.

Recording modes like Application Mode (toggled with F12) or Element MouseOvers (toggled with Alt-F11) move away from "natural mode" and are more restrictive. So we recommend you use then when you need them, but then turn them off when not needed.

(For example, if you have MouseOvers on you may see a VERY large test script extracted by eValid, most of which has no effective functional or regression testing puprose at playback time.)
