If the page you are working on has NO frames, then eValid commands are recorded with "" as the frame path.

If you do have frames in your page, and you take an action in one of them, then eVaild records the name or the number (if there are no names) in that same end-of-the-command field. You'll see ..."number:1" if your action is in the second-found frame on the page (these number start at zero!); or you will see the notation ..."name:MyFrame" if the frame you're in is named "MyFrame".

You can force eValid to use ONLY numbered or ONLY named frames with a settings option. However, if you select the named-frame option and a frame doesn't have a name, then eValid gives it the ordinal number with in the frame-set structure.

At the end of the day, you will have unique frames names or numbers so that recordings made with frames all work correctly. However, if the web application does not use frame names, and the frame-set definitions have been changed, then the script recorded with the old ordinal numbers will probably not work correctly with the new ordinal numbers.

Which is as you would (or should!) expect.
