How to apply eValid to functional testing of web applications.

Login Pages

Thanks for the quick response. I'm sort of working in the capacity of
just helping to get the recording machine itself set up. I'm an
infrastructure guy by trade. Not web app testing. Definitely will have
to bear with me on this one...

The thing is, now that I look at it closer, we really don't seem to be
even getting to the point in Oracle where java app/Oracle Forms loads.

We can't even get past the Login screen to the Oracle E-Business Suite.

Works fine in IE when I put in username/pass and press Login.
Everything at that point stays within the browser window and it simply
takes you right to an Oracle menu to choose an Oracle forms app to use.

At that point I would choose an app in the list and that's when it
actually would go and loads Java...etc in another window. I am actually
not even getting that far as eValid refuses to login in at all. I don't
see any real error messages, nothing in logs...etc. Just no response
when I click login.

Thanks for writing.

In this case, the key is that you "choose an app in the list" because we
suspect there is a drop down list involved.

But are you saying that the Oracle login does not work when using
the eValid browser? First thing to confirm is that you don't have
JavaScript errors (which eValid picks up, but which IE suppresses),
and then proceed to a recording.

I mean, using eValid as a browser, not doing recording or anything,
are you saying that you are unable to log in normally?
