Here you're asking for "how does eValid do this?" right? You already know about the options in the eValid settings that select various kinds of responses to modal popups.
OK, here is the way those commands work. It is simple enough given that eValid "is" the browser and has all of the internal knowledge that it has.
Modal popops issue signals that are sensed by the eValid browser that indicate the kind of popup that just showed up. eValid puts an internal "event listener" in place that gets activated when those events happen. Then, depending on how you have your Settings arranged, eValid takes the appropriate action. Suppressing the popup is easy if that's all you want to do. It takes some more effort to send an
ENTER key to a modal (one of the options).
At the end of the day, the available eValid settings can make an eValid playback immune to problems due to popups.
