How much variation is there in byte count and download time

If you look at a typical page, how much variation is there in byte count and download time if you pretend to be 100's of different devices.

It's hard to know what is a "typical page" of course, but the results of recent eperiments we've done suggest a page download ratio of ~75:1 and a ~4:1 download time ratio.

In other words, the byte count delivered to a desktop (IE) browser sometimes is 75 times more than that delivered to a mobile device, and the download time to deliver all of that data to a desktop (IE) browser is sometimes 4 times longer than the time to get the data to the same client (but which then is imitating a mobile device.)

Please check out the Single Platform Testing -- 100 Different Mobile Devices results page for complete details.
