Cache Effects

How to use eValid to support regression testing.

Cache Effects

Postby swtesting » Wed Jun 04, 2008 10:11 am

It's still disaster in browsing and selecting file/directory during
playback. I am following the instruction deleting the cash and run playback
syntheized I tried many ways but still not picking up the right file
selection.

I am not sure what I am missing or I am doing wrong here.

Your help is grateful.

It is not the eValid browser cache you need to delete (that
may be a good thing to do anyway), but you need to resent
the file system.

If test a runs and adds a file to the file system (whcih is
what you see in the Explorer file system display) then the
next time that test runs the files will be in a different place...
resulting in non-reliable playback.

You are altering the state of the test object and expecting
it to have not been altered...your test will fail unless
you start at a known state every time...
