It certainly can. And it's easy to do.
There is a command on the eValid GUI that allows you to record comparing two screen images. Presumably this is one you've just saved and you are comparing it against the same one from yesterday (i.e. earlier).
Yes, screen capture regression comparison is an out of the box feature for eValid.
