Regression Question

How to use eValid to support regression testing.

Regression Question

Postby unsigned » Tue Mar 11, 2008 2:10 pm

I did have an issue where tests that I had created earlier in the week
worked fine and then when ran right before I left Friday they failed. I
didn't expect the tests to fail, but I don't know if I had accidentally
changed something with our UI. I printed out all of my logs, but I had
to leave early for a doctor's appt. and have yet to go through them to
determine if it was eValid or actually our UI that changed.

I will be reading the documentation on some of the features that I didn't
get the opportunity to play around with.

Thanks for the posting...

There is a very tight connection between a script and the pages it is
testing...the idea is that if that connection is broken you get perhaps
a WARNING (yellow screen) or an ERROR (red screen) because eValid
*IS* at the end of the day a regression testing engine as well as a
performance testing engine...

If the was an error, the logfiles will certainly tell why an error was
reported...
