Have you used the -RT switch? See:

has passed...this works by launching a thread that kills the
process if it is stalled...
More important, have you looked at the logs of scripts that
stall? Our experience is that in many cases that is due
not to eValid but due to the server failing to deliver a page
or some such...
We really want you to have the most reliable operation possible
and the use of the -RT switch may give you a self-contained
way to avoid "did not finish" type errors...
