Can you monitor the behavior of a smart phone? How hard is it to do?

Yes, and it's very easy to do.

First, figure out what sequence of actions the smart phone user is supposed to do. This is your use case or work plan or test plan for that particular functionality.

Then, using a recording that opens a sub-window with the UserAgent set to the correct value for the smartphone you want to test, and stops leaving that window open. Now, us "insert recording" to carry on the rest of your test by taking actinos in that sub-window, where eValid is emulating the smartphone you're testing.

Now your script can be played back and the actions taken on the smart phone window will drive the server exactly the same way the smartphone would.

Now that you have a working eValid script you can provision it for use in monitoring, or, if you wish, you can also use the script for server load testing.
