Can eValid report to any reporting engine other than GWOS that you use in your portal?

Yes, of course it can.

GWOS is used in our demos because it is a widely use, open-source example of a monitoring reporting engine. The interface we use for GWOS is very simple, and the same aproach has been used for a variety of other reporting solutions -- from the "big guys" to several other open-source systems.

There is, in addition, a SQL interface feature in eValid that automatically ships data into an attached SQL database.

Briefly, the eValid playback creates data that is stored in a file, either the EventLog (with special formatting of comments), or by using the SaveRecord command to create a local file that contains the monitoring data.

In either case, typically a PERL script is used to strip key data out of the right file and ship it off to to where it is needed -- in the reporting engine or into SQL or whereever. The interfaces are simple to make the use of eValid as simple and as reliable as possible.
