Tiered Response Graphics Display

Postby tninela » Tue May 26, 2009 7:58 am

We have an eValid script that plays back beautifully and it generates a sequence of times that show how long each step of our playback takes from the start to the completion of the order processing?

We want to see a display of this data over time in the monitoring reporting system or the network status system that shows the tiers of data so we can compare which parts of the process are taking how long?

We know eValid interfaces with many types of monitoring reporting systems but which ones provide this kind of reporting?

Yes, what we call a tiered display, which looks like a layer
cake with each layer showing the proportion of time spent in
on part of the script activity, is a very valuable way to gain
a lot of intuition about how a web application performs.

There are several widely used systems that allow this kind of
display, including Nagios, Groundwork, Zenoss and Hyperic. In
most cases the display is produced using some variant of the
RRD (Round Robin Database) appliance.

There probably are many other network status reporting engines
that do the same kind of graphing.

Here is live demo of eValid Application Performance Monitoring
done by our eValid partner in Belgium, Super-Visions:

Hope this helps.
