Problems with send_nsca.pl

Postby lamman » Fri May 29, 2009 10:54 am

Hi,

Perhaps you or your support crew can help me to solve the following problem. In our Nagios-Configuration we use XOR "encryption" but we have set a pas sword for the nsca-daemon to. But send_nsca.pl does not support a password => (http://jasonplancaster.com/2005/Send-NS ... nd_nscapl/). Do you have a solution for such a configuration?

So, with your send_nsca.pl I cannot send results to our daemon.

A possible solution could be to use the native windows nsca-client (http://www.nagiosexchange.org/cgi-bin/p ... D1600.html). Password is supported and my manual test was successful and Nagios receives my results.

Can you provide me an alternative script of send_nsca.pl with password support or an alternative script of eValid-2-Nagios.pl, calling send_nsca.exe
Windows native client) to submit the result?

Thanks for helping.

Thanks for writing.

On this one if you have a script from Nagios that does the job then
you are in good shape.

We had not heard of this problem, but we will make a note of it
and including this exchange in the eValid Forum...
