Understanding eVaild error codes during a monitoring test

Postby MartinL » Thu Jun 11, 2020 12:17 pm

Afternoon.

I've got eValid set up to run a monitoring test, but I want to protect my shell script by trapping errors and reacting appropriately?

What exactly are the error codes the eValid produces, please?

Thanks

Thanks for asking MartinL.

The Error/Exit codes for eValid's command line interface are given here:

http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... codes.html

Note that the messages are encoded in a kind of "binary number" format to make it easy to account for there being multiple messages from one command line invocation.

If you need further details, please contact us.
