Lock/Unlock

Postby evaluser » Tue Sep 02, 2008 9:29 am

I understand the meaning of "desktop safe" but I don't understand how
to create a desktop safe script. Is this a feature that I can turn on
somewhere?

I tried using the lock/unlock feature but it didn't seem to work. Other
evalid sessions would get in the way.

Please Help

Actually, "desktop safe" is a property of a script. If your application
requires a desktop click, then you're forced into "non-desktop-safe"
mode...no escaping that.

Lock/unlock work OK...but ALL scripts that may be running concurrently
need to Lock/Unlock...if just one Lock's the screen, and some other
script comes along and does NOT have Lock/Unlock, then it will step
on the screen.

Lock/Unlock is a strong MUTEX operator for coordination between scripts.

The DOM based commands will work only if the application allows
you to do that. Try the PageMap and see if you can get a DOM
response on the object you want to touch...
