Three Tier Monitoring

Postby T-User » Mon Nov 17, 2008 3:37 pm

At us is three-tier application, IE + OAS 10g + RDBMS Oracle 10g.

I tried to write down auto-script with the help e-Valid and then to start it
in a package mode.

I.e. to write down sequence of the actions in thin client (Internet Explorer).

This script urged to check up correctness of formation of reports!

Because of restriction by quantity of lines in trial version, I have no
possibility to write down a script completely.

To reach reports, it is necessary to execute a considerable quantity of
manipulations, and it, it is much more than 26 lines.

Thanks for the information... A three-tier monitoring sequence
from the eValid browser ( which will appear to be IE to the servers)
is very common.

Yes, if you have a long script, then the eValid EVAL version may not
work...but the purpose of the EVAL is to allow you to become
familiar with eValid features and capabilities.

Please note, there is NO length restriction on the revenue licenses...

I get it right, that NO length restriction on the revenue licenses ?
Thereafter, revenue licenses will cost the certain sum of money ?

Simply, it turns out that not writing down a complete script, I checked the
capacity eValid on this application.

Web-client has a difficult structure, including modal windows, frames and
java-script constructions.

Units, from testable by me facilities for testing web applications, beg
pardon for tautology, able correctly to write down the actions of user and
form auto-script, executed in the batch mode, but not interactive.

It turns out that payment revenue licenses, in my case - "pig in a poke
buying", does not it ?

For me bad English, possibly I you did not understand!

Thankful in advance for any information.

Yes, the regular licenses are not free...I assume you've seen
the price lists and I hope we can have you become an eValid user.

All of the things you mention in your web application are all
handled very well with eValid.

Yes, there is a batch mode interface:

* eValid has ~60 switches that control executions from the Windows command
line, described here:

http://www.e-Valid.com/Products/Documen ... rface.html

You're right; the batch mode is critical for monitoring mode operations.

* Here are the detailed instructions for use of the SaveRecord command,
which outputs in-progress test data to an external file:

http://www.e-Valid.com/Products/Documen ... ecord.html

This command set is very powerful also in monitoring mode, because it
is very easy to extract intra-playback details.

Yes, we understand the problem: if you buy the product and it doesn't
work you are stuck. Our solution is to obtain a PO from you and the
we can provide a short-term full-revenue license. If you decide
you don't want eValid, you don't pay and the license expires. But
our finance office requires lots of qualifying details on this...
most of our international transactions are "payment in advance"...

* Here are the prices for the standard combination(s)s of eValid
Monitoring Master and Agent stations (standard and AJAX versions):
