Shotest Interval for Monitoring

What do you recommend as the shortest interval between starting up monitoring playbacks?

We want to have really tight control and quick alerts but we know if you go too fast one playback may get in the way of another. Or will it?

What do you recommend?

Thanks for asking. Sorry for the slowish response; we were on vacation over the New Years' weekend.

You're right on this: if you go too fast between playbacks the one just finishing is potentially able to step on the one that is just starting.

So you have to make them independent -- which should be possible -- and then you can even have the same test overlap if you want.

But the thing to consider here is that you MAY not want to generate that much data. Our experience is that 5-minute or 6-minute intervals are usually enough for most monitoring situations. That's 12 per hour or 10 per hour (sometimes 10 per hour is easier to understand from the graphs).

So the bottom line answer is: about 12/hour of the same script, 5-minute intervals.
