How to send an email?

Postby antfau » Thu Mar 12, 2009 5:25 pm

One other thing that has been vexing me. Can you give me tips to get me
started on how to send an email to myself if there is an error recorded
in, say, the E-log file of any of my evalid scripts.

Thanks

It turns out there are special commands to do this.

If you look at the script definition, you'll find these commands
available for your use (they need to be edited into the your script):

OnAlarmEmail -- Timer alarm.
OnErrorEmail -- Any command error.
OnTimeoutEmail -- A page didn't complete downloading within the local timelimit.
OnWarningEmail -- A warning was issued.

In each case, the command sets a flag that tells eValid to act
when the corresponding flag is sent to the EventLog. The command
then issues the message to the specified email address, including
the specified message and attachment file (if specified).
