Scanning A Site...

That's a neat framework you have for scanning a site, but what
if I want to do some extra checks that aren't already part of
your current offerings?

Good question. Thanks for asking!

As you may already know, the eValid site analysis spider actually visits each page as if a real user had visited the page; the construction of the dependency tree is done by analyzing the delivered DOM (important to note that this is NOT the same as the raw HTML...it is the post-rendering version that is part of the browser inner structure).

An option will soon be made available to have the site analysis engine invoke outside functions so that you can apply your own analysis -- of any kind you can imagine -- of each page after the built-in analyses are finished. One thing to be careful about is that if the page is changing dynamically you may have the external function analyzing a page that differs from the current internal page (which is changing due to AJAX operations, for example.)

Please contact the sales group for details on how to get access to this new site analysis option.
