Tell me about what it really means to have 2000 users on a system?

Why 2000 users?

Do the arithmetic...often the customer says 2000 users but
that's not really required.

2000 users in a 24 hour period = 84 users per hour.

If each session is 15 minutes, that means that in one hour
84 users start a 15-minute session and 84 drop out.

So at any one time yo have 84 users running.

So run eValid with the user count set to 100 and you have
more than the equivalent of 2000 uers per day.

The user session time and new-user-arrival rate may be
more important thatn "total number of users in a day".

The other factor is the total data volume for a typical
user...etc.

The point is, you may not need more than 200 SIMULTANEOUS
USERS with LOW WAIT TIMES...
