Number of Tests Question

Hey eValid, I would like some help regarding load testing:

How many tests can you reasonably expect on a partition (one user) on a
Windows machine to handle per hour?

Thanks

Hello VesperL.

To answer your question:

Normally, for a single user (single machine partition) you can get
50+ browser users (BUs), but performance may be spotty.

After you complete the "machine adjustments", as described here:

http://www.e-Valid.com/Products/Documen ... chine.html

You usually can get 100+.

If you have a very beefy machine -- for example, the Amazon
EC2 cloud's "High-Memory Quadruple Extra Large" machine -- you can
get at least 10 user partitions each with 100 BUs, for a total
of 1,000 BUs.

Our experience is that the CPU and I/O usage in this extreme
case usually is less than 10% of capacity.
