Load Test Cap

Postby wichuser » Fri Oct 03, 2008 11:21 am

I looked at the documentation and could not find a specific number and I was
hoping to get an answer.

How many "vusers' can we run on each machine? Specifically, our machines
with 2GB?

Can we simulate 3500 users? Do we need more computers and licenses?
Please let me know as soon as you can.

Thanks for posting....

Two routes:

* Full-fidelity, one browser per user, try for 150ish in 2 GB machine
assuming you use THIN (recommended).

* "navigation" only, perhaps using the TraceURL feature that extracts
the full URL sequence from the script (HTTP only, no HTTPS)...this
is eVlite and each instance can run 1000 threads in parallel but it
is "low fidelity" in that you are getting URLs not browsing pages...
