Pinging an URL

If I want to have a lower level of reality, do you have any way of just, say,
pinging a URL sequence?

Each eVlite can do 1000 users (1000 threads) running from such a
URL.script.evs file (generated automatically), so if one machine
has 10 eVlite's running that's 10,000 URL-only type "users"...I guess
you could call this a "virtual user"...
