The synchronization retry rate is the interval between attempts to achieve playback synchronization -- i.e. to avoid de-synchronization.
You can adjust this parameter in the Settings, and the lowest interval that eValid will accept is 10 msec.
A retry delay of 10 msec is the same as a retry rate of 100 Hz -- one retry every 0.01 seconds.
We found from internal experiments that (i) a higher retry rate interfered with the operation of the browser too much, consuming more than 0.1% of the resource, and (2) that a timing resolution of 0.01 seconds is sufficient for 99.99% of all web browser enabled applications.
