How Universal is eValid?

We have been looking for a long time for some kind of testbed system that will be as universal as possible? Can you comment on the degree to which your technology might meet that objective?

"As universal as possible" is a tall order, but we believe that for the class of web browser enabled applications the eValid system is as close to universal as you can get.

It's important to be clear about that claim: What we mean is that the basic architectural feature of eValid -- that it is a browser with test features built inside -- makes it possible to test ANY kind of such application in some way or other. The reason this is possible is that the browser itself is "universal" in that it can view any kind of web browser enabled application.

Hence, by putting the analysis capability (record, playback, manipulate, validate, etc.) into the browser you have a universal platform from which to take any required action. So in that sense, yes, eValid is "universal."

In a practical sense, so far we have always been able to get a reliable test playback for ANY web brower enabled application. Admittedly, that sometimes requires taking advantage of particular features of a page, but at the end of the day, even with such tricks, the playback is 100% reliable. That feels pretty universal to us.

However, eValid won't make coffee in the morning for you, and no, it can't read your mind to "do the right thing with this app, please". Just joking.
