Do you see a lot of AJAX on mobile applications? Is testing it any different that for desktop applications?

Yes, we do see some -- and increasing number, by the say -- of AJAX implementations on Mobile Devices.

And, in some cases, the AJAX activity is quite well hidden even for non-web-browser enabled applications. We saw the other day some apps for the Android device set (which is quite large) some apps that "push" data to/from the server.

Testing of any web browser enabled application is pretty much a constant set of actions, regardless of the type of device being used.

You always have human input (simulated by the test engine, eValid for example), the delays associated with processing by the server (which could involve AJAX activity), and a response of some kind at the user interface.

This is a standard sequence: Act, Wait, Validate.

So, yes, testing a mobile web app is the same pretty much as testing a desktop based web app.
