Question on test synchronization

Applying eValid to AJAX applications that require advanced DOM-based methods.

Question on test synchronization

Postby CSanchez » Wed Feb 19, 2014 9:54 am

Morning eValid.

eValid seem to make a big deal out of test synchronization. Why
is that needed at all?

Can't you automate that?

Thanks

Hello CSanchez:

Fair request...and we would if we could.

The problem is, AJAX is implemented in so many different ways
it is impossible to craft a recording solution that will work
for every one of them.

And, as you know, it isn't possible to simply "read the JavaScript
and figure out what particular passage does..." Think
non-computable here.

The best thing is to record the synchronization step using the
"Validate and synchronize on visible text" command that you
can reach from the GUI...we have found that this usually
resolves any synchronization issue.
