How eValid looks for DOM elements for a property value

Hiya.

Can you give me a summary of how eValid searches the DOM for elements that match a particular property=value?

Thanks

Thanks for asking JoanneL.

In eValid, for various technical reasons, we wrapped all of the many kinds of search commands into variations of one command: IndexFindElement.

Here is the manual page:

http://e-valid.com/Products/Documentati ... ement.html

As the page shows, if you want to match BOTH a property name to have a particular property value, you use the third option:

IndexFindElement wid { UP | DOWN } "property_name" "property_value" "frame_path"

So it is all in one place...you put in the wanted property name and the value you're looking for and eValid will take it from there.

Simple enough?

Hint: For a page with no iFrames, you can omit the "frame_path" tag.

If you need more help understanding this concept, please contact us.
