Indeed, images can be hacked as well as everything else.
In this era of "fake news" you can't be too careful: what you see is not necessarily what is true.
If you have a base "truth" you can use eValid in desktop mode to confirm an image.

Accordingly, for greater confidence you may want to put this kind of image checking in a "monitoring mode" operation -- that is, run the check at regular intervals all the time and issue a warning if a change is detected.
