eValid DOM completeness, performance

Applying eValid to AJAX applications that require advanced DOM-based methods.

eValid DOM completeness, performance

There are other systems that do DOM processing...Watir and Selenium... how do you compare eValid's capabiltiy with those?

Also, how do you compare performance?

We are familiar with WATIR and Selenium and yes, they also enable direct processing of DOM values.

We think that the eValid approach is better because it:

(1) Runs direct in the browser, so DOM modifications have very low overhead.

(2) AJAX synchronizations with eValid doing a DOM attribute value polling loop
are likewise very low overhead...so the process doesn't get in the way of the result (as is the case with the other two solutions you mention).

(3) You do NOT have to know any programming language to do DOM manpulatons with the eValid architecture. There are simple commands to read and write values, to extact and insert strings from and to the current DOM, and validate what the DOM has in it.

(4) A script you engineer that uses DOM processing can run in hundreds of
parallel eValid copies that are running your application to simulate realistic load on your servers.

(5) On the other hand, these advantages do not come for free, and unlike
the other products, eValid is a commercially supported product. [Try getting a question answered efficiently and in a timely manner from the other guys' forums. Here, the rule is, all questions are answered before the end of the next business day. Like this one was.]
