One question - is eValid7 compatible with scripts written in eValid8?
And the other way around?

I notice our licenses were updated to allow eValid8 on our development
system. Just wondering if I install 8 and start authoring will it
produce scripts I can't run on eValid7.

Of course if you record from V8 you'll have V8 to playback...
so no problem there.

It may be that some of the index-motion commands were not
included in older V7's and there are several other commands
that only were available after a certain V7 build...

Safest route is to install V8, which certainly will run
the V7 scripts...
