Test an application is "test enabled"?

Postby KLorenzo » Tue Feb 05, 2013 3:58 pm

Some other post here explained how you consdier eValid test enabled, but I'm wondering, does that mean every browser that I use to test an application is "test enabled"?

Thanks for the followup question.

From the earlier answer, yes, eValid is a test enabled browser.

Probably what you probably asking is, what if I use a non-eValid browser for testing a web-based application?

You're right. There are other approaches to driving a web-based application that rely on use of JavaScript programs to drive the browser. That approach differs from the eValid approach in that it uses the facilities already in the browser, the JavaScript engine and it's interfaces in particular, to drive the test.

And, yes, such an approach indeed does make that browser "test enabled".

That's true because, regardless of how the test is run, when you drive it from a browser that means that the browser becomes "test enabled."
