Yes, that can be done and there is one basic mechanism in eValid that we use to do this: The On
FLAGGoScript commands, e.g.
OnErrorGoScript.
In effect you can switch away from the current playback by causing eValid to throw an ERROR flag, after which control is picked up by the alternative script named in the OnErrorGoScript command. Meanwhile another script is targeted in an OnWarningGoScript command, to which control passes on a WARNING message.
Remember, eValid's commands are NOT supposed to be a programming language, but this does have some flavor of being a programming process.
In some cases, also, we have constructed a special web page that makes it easier to switch between alternative playbacks.
