Yes, right now the primary method eValid uses for licensing is to lock onto the HostName of the current machine. But that is changing and in the near future will will also be able to provide licenses that lock into the MAC address of the machine.
In the less restrictive direction, we do have licenses -- called Commercial Licenses -- that are web authenticated but do not reqire any particular HostName (or MAC address). These types of licenses are used by firms which use eValid in "monitoring mode" and resell the outputs, but they can also be supplied as a way of providing an "enterprise license" to a firm that wants to use eValid but doesn't want to be concerned about individual HostNames or MAC addresses.
