How to evaluate eValid?

Postby swtesting » Fri May 30, 2008 4:30 pm

We are not using the tool for
testing and we do not have any customer who's application is being tested by us using e-valid. We wanted to become a reseller in market for your e-valid, and thats why, to understand the product completely, we started evaluation. But with so many limitations in evaluation version, it has become difficult to decide about it.

Thanks for writing.

(1) Your eValid EVAL/EVAUTO and DEM0/EVDEMO licenses are intended to have full
product functionality, so you can evaluate eValid's range of features.
However, they do have certain technical limits, described here:

http://www.e-Valid.com/Products/License ... its.8.html

These are the same limits a customer would see. My concern is
that these are VERY minimal limitations -- except perhaps the
limit on the number of playbacks to 10 at one time -- and most
of the time they are not an impediment to understanding what
eValid is all about. Is there some other limit are you talking
about?

(2) Please see:

http://www.e-Valid.com/Technology/Desig ... ating.html

This page makes the point that eValid is fundamentally different
from other solutions, QTP, FT, VSTS, etc.

It seems to me that many of the questions I've been fielding
are of the form "Why doesn't eValid have this feature, like X has
or Y has?" The answer, in all honesty, is that eValid is such
a different architecture that much of that complexity is unnecessary.

(3) In terms of reselling, yes, I understand that's the goal and
I hope in the short term you can see the technical advantage for
functional test, server loading, and site analysis, and can bring
those advantages to bear in landing an order!

Here is the special server loading price list that extends the
regular Server Loading Bundle to either a multiple set of 1-week
IUKs or continuous multi-machine playbacks:

Looking forward to hearing from you.
