Does eValid work with the GroundWork Community Edition? How does the reporting work and what does the information look like?

Yes, evalid works fine with the GroundWork Community Edition (GWOS/CE), which as you may know is a free, open-source network reporting system that is based in Nagios (which also is free and open source).

There is a simple eValid RIA Monitoring Demo that will show how this appears to a user; follow the instructions on the top page to see the demo.

In once you get into the demo you can review the reports and also see the eValid script that is used to generate them. In these cases the scripts "time band" various steps in a sequence of actions on the target website. Those bands of time are what you see in the report. You'll see four separate reports: two that monitor our own website, one that monitors the google top page, and one that monitors the Super-Visions top page.

[Super-Visions is the supplier of the NagVis images and control that make this demo possible.]

The reporting of this kind of data is intended to let you see where one (or more) parts of a complex transaction. These examples don't have it but you could put time-threshold alarms (OvertimeAlarm commands) into the script to alert you if the performance of any one or any sequence of parts is below your exected threshold.
