Yes, it is.

The details of the internal architecture of eValid are simple enough. User commands (the ones in your script file) are converted into an internal format and then executed one by one by calling upon browser resources to achieve the correct result.

That's what any computer does, in effect, to an executable program that it's asked to run.

eValid can thus be thought of as an engine that intepretively executes the commands in the supplied test script -- what eValid calls the script file.

The script file can either be (a) recorded from life with the eValid recording engine, or (b) constructed from scratch, manually.

We don't really recommend (b) but instead suggest that the easy way is to make a recording "from life" and then hand edit that recording when and where necesssary and desired to get the right test effect. We estimate that this (b') approach is less than 10% or maybe even less than 1% of the effort of hand-coding a test script from scratch. After all, if it works out of the box, why try to fix it?

So, yes, eValid IS a programmable browser!
