You're right. There are other approaches to driving a web-based application that rely on use of JavaScript programs to drive the browser. That approach differs from the eValid approach in that it uses the facilities already in the browser, the JavaScript engine and it's interfaces in particular, to drive the test.

And, yes, such an approach indeed does make that browser "test enabled".

That's true because, regardless of how the test is run, when you drive it from a browser that means that the browser becomes "test enabled."
