WebDriver is a very powerful product, to be sure.
And, from what we can estimate, it is very widely used these days.
Many of the features in WebDriver were already in early versions of eValid, and some features in eValid are only now beginning to be incorporated in WebDriver.
For example, recent WebDriver builds have allowed for separate control of the browser, much as in the same way that eValid "drives the browser from the side", using a separate command language and test execution model that does not interfere with JavaScript (essential for reliable AJAX operation).
eValid, however, has important distinctions, among them the fact that eValid is delivered as a compiled executable (rather that a "framework" that you have to assemble), is fully supported (besides this User Forum there is live technical support available), and is very stable and reliable.
There many aspects of software tool technology that are also vastly different between eValid and WebDriver, many of which are inappropriate to discuss in this User Forum. If there's something specific please contact our office to set up a consultation.
