eValid's dual modes

General discussion about eValid, its characteristis and applications.

eValid's dual modes

Postby EugeneD » Tue Jul 08, 2014 8:14 am

Morning.

eValid seems to have a kind of "dual mode" of operation, and it apparently supports desktop applications as well as web applications?

Why is that?

Thanks

Thanks for asking EugeneD.

In fact, early on in eValid's development, we found that many web applications needed to have some mimimal kind of interaction with "desktop objects."

(A desktop object might be an FTP Download Popup, or it might be a NotePad edit, etc.)

So we incorporated some of most of the older CAPBAK/MSW technology (except for its OCR screen scraping component) into eValid and made the interoperation as seamless as possible.

It's important to emphasize that the desktop support is not an afterthought, but at the same time the main focus of eValid is on the Web side of the picture, and that's where most of the product capabilities lie.

Here for your information is the manual page on Application Mode:

http://www.e-Valid.com/Products/Documen ... .mode.html

Many of our users take great advantage of the combination, and we hope you are able to as well!
