Hey eValid!

What do you guys say about your eValid technology in relation to the upcoming Microsoft Windows 10 OS and the corresponding upgrades to IE?

Thanks

Thanks for asking LindseyD.

Our source for the answer to this question is a sales guy we met at a local BestBuy

Turns out he is a Microsoft employee working the floor in support of the full array of Microsoft offerings (phones, tablets, Surface PCs, etc.).

In the conversation it turns out that he was evidently VERY well informed about going-on at Microsoft. According to him we learned:

(a) Windows 10 will include a version of Internet Explorer called IE12 that will be upgraded to be 100% compatible with the WebKit interfaces.

The new IE12 will continue to be based, however, on the existing Microsoft Trident Rendering Engine. He heard that there were 500+ people at Microsoft working on this upgrade and integration.

The idea is that IE12 will use the best features of WebKit and will include enhanced security to cover over some problems of security that everyone has reported.

(b) On a different front he claims that WebDriver won't be released in the public [free] versions of IE because of security considerations. But it will be part of the future Visual Studio development environment.

Very interesting information...all the more so because it is sourced from such an unusual place.
