Test synchronization at playback time question

Postby SKenney » Thu Apr 21, 2016 9:59 am

Hey eValid team!

Can you give me an overall summary of how eValid attacks the problem of test synchronization at test playback time?

Thanks

Thanks for asking Skenney.

Always happy to help.

There are several layers of playback synchronization (sync) support:

(1) There is "build-in" page navigation support based on use of a combination ofDOM signals to assure that the next page after a navigation request has fully settled down.

(2) There are specific sync methods that are based on the URL, including the "SyncOnURL" command.

(3) You can sync on a screen image or a part of a screen image, but only in Desktop mode (application mode).

(4) You can also sync on a DOM element existing, or NOT existing.

These are the most powerful sync methods that are needed to sync AJAX applications.

Here is a manual page that summarizes all of the options:

Give us a call or send an email if you have further questions.
