Can eValid manage the cache?

What's involved?

Thanks

Thanks for asking SGlass.

Yes as a tester you can manage how the cache is used, or not used.

One of the options you have is shown on this page from the eValid documentation:

http://www.e-valid.com/Products/Documen ... ement.html

You can choose to delete the cache BEFORE running a test playback.

This is highly recommended because then you know that the test will start from an empty cache...this minimizes the possibility of one test's residue from interfering with another test.

OR, you can use the Cache Manager popup to manage the cache directly, e.g. to delete everything in it, including cookies.

In addition, you can delete the cache midway in any test using the commands:

DeleteCache
DeleteCookies

These commands can appear anywhere in your script...so you could check dependence on cookies in a web page by taking an action, deleting the cookies, and then taking a next action.
